My name is Kristine Komendantov. I am a massage therapist, daughter, friend, nomad, artist, and vulnerable and flawed human being.

I was born in a small Eastern European country named Latvia, raised in New York, and left two years ago to travel the world. I have recently landed in Portland after a wonderful journey that has taken me to some unexpected places and taught me a lot about myself, the world, and humanity.

I enjoy hiking, camping, dancing, reading, hugs, listening to music, making and appreciating art, learning new things, meeting people, and having interesting and insightful conversations.

Here are some things I’ve learned from my brief time on this planet: Life is hard and we are all doing the best we can. We all have our histories, traumas, experiences, and journeys that have shaped us. We all struggle and try to hold on to those sometimes fleeting moments of joy. We love hard and try to do the best we can for those whom we care about. We all make mistakes and do things we are not proud of but those things don’t make us any less worthy of love and acceptance. This being a human thing is a difficult journey and we all deserve compassion and respect.

I am excited to be in Portland and to meet new people, give back to my community, and try to make your journey here easier.

Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I appreciate you!
